Greetings!
There are a variety of mechanisms through which People express themselves - polls/surveys, ratings, reviews/comments, prediction, ideation, etc. Some of these are more amenable to structured analysis than others. Regardless of the mechanism, there is a great deal of Wisdom to be garnered from the expressions of a group of people, when suitably aggregated.
